Marcel Buffet 80th birthday party

A collection of photos from the Cercle de la Voile de Paris September 14-15th 2002

On the initiative of Jean-François Paget a bunch of old 505 friends including wifes and partners as well as the webmaster of this sight gathered at the club house of Cercle de la Voile de Paris to celebrate Marcel Buffet on September 14-15.
It was a surprise party ("the BIG secret" as Jean-François called it in his circular e-mails) and participants came from Canada, Denmark, England, France, Morocko and Sweden. Just as at the reunion party at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club at Burnham in England in April 2000 a lot of us had not seen each other for many years so the weekend became a very happy reunion indeed.

May I take this opportunity to thank Jean-François for his tremendous effort which turned this memorable weekend to a success. Again as in Burnham two years ago I felt that there was not sufficient time to catch up which each and everyone. Hopfully we will all meet again, maybe at the 505 Worlds in Malmö 2003!?
